Job Title: VP, Financial Operations (Payments)

Job Description: Responsible for leading the Payment Operations function and overseeing transaction processing for a global CFD brokerage and cryptocurrency exchange. Reports directly to the Head of Treasury & Accounting with executive oversight from the CFO. Manages timely and accurate payment processing across all supported products, markets, and jurisdictions. Drives payment success rates, reduces churn, and maintains 99.9% PSP infrastructure uptime.

Responsibilities:

• Use defined KPIs to manage timely and accurate payment processing across all supported products, markets, and jurisdictions.
• Improve payment success rates and reduce payment-related churn through strategic payment initiatives and optimized transaction routing.
• Maintain PSP infrastructure and ensure 99.9% uptime by jurisdiction.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of payment processing expenses including PSP fees, settlement costs, and operational charges.
• Proactively manage PSP relationships, maintenance windows, and service changes to minimize customer impact.
• Increase automation of payment processing activities in line with agreed quarterly targets.
• Strategically manage payment routes to reduce settlement costs and overall PSP expenses.
• Mentor and manage a globally distributed Financial Operations team to maintain consistent performance, accountability, and service standards.
• Provide clear and timely communication to senior management on Financial Operations performance, risks, incidents, and strategic initiatives.
• Manage chargeback and dispute processing within agreed SLAs.
• Coordinate with development and technology teams to continually improve the customer payment experience.

Qualifications Needed:

• Strong knowledge of high-risk payment operations including local bank transfers, IBANs, card processing, cryptocurrency payments, and alternative payment methods (APMs).
• Strong problem-solving abilities with capacity to resolve complex payment operations issues independently.
• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining accountability for operational outcomes and escalation management.
• Experience in a CFD brokerage, PSP, or cryptocurrency exchange environment preferred.
• Background as Senior Payment Operations Manager, Head of Payments, Financial Operations Director, or similar senior payments role.
• Deep understanding of transaction processing reliability, payment routing, and operational KPIs.
