Job Title: Technical Team Lead – Java

Job Description: As a Technical Team Lead – Java, you will lead and mentor a backend engineering team building high-performance financial-technology services, combining hands-on Java development with delivery management, code-quality governance, system performance, incident analysis, and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of backend Java engineers
• Break down delivery objectives, assign work, track progress, and remove technical blockers
• Set technical direction and guide architecture and implementation decisions
• Conduct code reviews and maintain engineering, documentation, and quality standards
• Design and develop Java 17 REST services and event-driven backend components
• Improve service performance, stability, scalability, and JVM efficiency
• Lead technical incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Collaborate with product, quality assurance, DevOps, mobile, and business stakeholders

Qualifications Needed:

• At least seven years of backend Java engineering experience with strong Java 17 or later capability
• At least two years of experience leading a team of seven or more engineers
• Strong knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, REST APIs, and asynchronous event-driven design
• Experience with cloud environments, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or comparable delivery technologies
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Financial-technology, trading, FX, CFD, FIX protocol, market-data, Kotlin, Vaadin, or observability experience is advantageous
