Job Title: Solution Architect – Open Finance & Digital Banking

Job Description: As a Solution Architect – Open Finance & Digital Banking (m/f/d), you will define and govern architecture for an Open Finance API ecosystem and digital banking platform, ensuring secure partner connectivity, regulatory compliance, reusable integration patterns, effective developer onboarding, and scalable delivery across retail, SME, and corporate banking journeys.

Responsibilities:

• Define target architecture for an Open Finance platform and regulated API ecosystem
• Design partner APIs, developer portals, onboarding journeys, consent flows, and monetisation capabilities
• Establish architectural standards, reusable patterns, decision records, and implementation roadmaps
• Guide API management and metering architecture using technologies such as Kong and OpenMeter
• Embed security and regulatory controls including FAPI 2.0, mutual TLS, strong customer authentication, privacy, and data governance
• Collaborate with product, engineering, security, compliance, risk, and business stakeholders
• Provide architectural oversight across retail, SME, corporate, and partner-led digital banking use cases
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-enabled engineering approaches for responsible platform evolution

Qualifications Needed:

• At least ten years of architecture experience covering digital banking, Open Banking, Open Finance, or API platforms
• Strong knowledge of CBUAE expectations, FAPI 2.0, mutual TLS, strong customer authentication, and regulated financial APIs
• Experience with enterprise API management, Kong, AWS, microservices, and event-driven architecture
• Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, privacy, security, SOC 2, BCBS 239, or UAE data protection requirements
• Experience delivering architecture within a Tier-1 bank or similarly complex regulated institution
• Excellent stakeholder communication with the ability to guide strategy, roadmaps, governance, and AI use in the software lifecycle
