Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer (100% Remote)

Job Description: As a Senior Backend Engineer at Tether, you will design, build, and optimise high-performance backend systems that power stablecoin operations, blockchain integrations, and financial infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services for stablecoin issuance, redemption, and transaction processing.
• Design and implement blockchain integrations, including smart contract interactions and node operations.
• Optimise system performance, security, and reliability to support global operations.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices.

Qualifications Needed:

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience, with 3+ years in fintech, crypto, or blockchain.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Rust, or Python, and experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Deep understanding of blockchain technology, stablecoin operations, and financial systems.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; fluent in English.
