Job Title: Merchant Onboarding Associate

Job Description: As Merchant Onboarding Associate at Saudi Arabia’s first fintech unicorn, you will execute Know Your Business reviews and AML/CFT screening for every merchant onboarding journey in Salesforce, ensuring the platform meets the highest regulatory and risk-management standards while championing a compliance-by-design culture across Compliance, Risk, Product, and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Validate merchant documentation, analyse complex ownership structures, and run sanctions and adverse-media checks
• Document findings in Salesforce with clear, auditable notes
• Liaise daily with Commercial, Compliance, Product, and Risk teams to resolve onboarding blockers and clarify documentation requirements
• Identify process gaps and propose workflow or automation enhancements, including data integrations, rules engines, and reporting dashboards
• Support periodic internal and external audits by compiling evidence packs and answering examiner queries
• Track and report key onboarding KPIs, including turnaround time, pass/fail rates, and false-positive ratios
• Uphold a compliance-by-design culture, ensuring every merchant is onboarded safely, efficiently, and in full regulatory adherence
• Mentor junior colleagues and help raise the overall maturity of onboarding operations

Qualifications Needed:

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in KYB due diligence, AML/CFT screening, or merchant onboarding within a fintech, payments, or other regulated financial institution in the UAE and KSA
• Ability to analyse complex ownership structures and identify red flags in merchant documentation
• Experience working with Salesforce or similar case management platforms is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce clear, auditable documentation
• Comfortable partnering across Compliance, Risk, Product, and Engineering teams
• This role is based onsite in the company’s Dubai offices
