Job Title: Frontend Engineer

Job Description: The Frontend Engineer will build and maintain frontend components across Deriv’s trading platforms — focusing on performance, accessibility, and user experience — using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and contributing to Deriv’s design system and component library.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain high-quality frontend components and features for Deriv’s web trading platforms
  • Work closely with Design, Product, and Backend Engineering teams to deliver polished, performant user interfaces
  • Write clean, well-tested JavaScript/TypeScript code in line with Deriv’s engineering standards
  • Contribute to Deriv’s frontend component library and design system
  • Optimize frontend performance — improving loading times, runtime performance, and responsiveness
  • Implement accessibility standards across all frontend components
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering planning sessions
  • Use AI tools actively in day-to-day frontend development workflows

Qualifications Needed:

  • 3+ years of frontend engineering experience in production web applications
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and modern frontend tooling
  • Experience with state management, REST API integration, and WebSocket-based real-time data
  • Understanding of web performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG), and responsive design
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and modern development practices
  • Fintech, trading, or high-traffic consumer web application experience preferred
  • AI fluency in engineering workflows
