Job Title: Director of UAE Operations and Regulatory Affairs

Job Description: As a Director of UAE Operations and Regulatory Affairs, you will lead the operational and regulatory foundation of a UAE-based trading comparison platform, taking ownership of entity governance, free-zone compliance, banking relationships, tax and audit coordination, visas, official filings, and engagement with relevant authorities as the organization scales.

Responsibilities:

  • Own UAE entity governance, licensing, renewals, official records, and statutory compliance obligations
  • Manage relationships and filings with relevant free-zone authorities and government bodies
  • Oversee UAE corporate tax, VAT, accounting, audit, and Federal Tax Authority coordination
  • Maintain banking relationships and support account opening, KYC reviews, and ongoing banking requirements
  • Coordinate visa, immigration, employment, and administrative processes for UAE personnel
  • Work with external legal counsel, auditors, tax advisers, banks, and corporate service providers
  • Prepare regulatory calendars, governance records, policies, and evidence required for inspections or reviews
  • Support the business through regulatory transitions, expansion decisions, and operational scaling initiatives

Qualifications Needed:

  • At least seven years of UAE operations, regulatory affairs, compliance, or corporate governance leadership experience
  • Direct knowledge of UAE free zones such as DMCC, IFZA, DIFC, ADGM, or JAFZA
  • Strong understanding of UAE corporate tax, VAT, Federal Tax Authority requirements, audits, and statutory filings
  • Experience managing UAE banking relationships, account onboarding, KYC, and compliance documentation
  • Excellent English communication and the ability to coordinate legal counsel and senior external stakeholders
  • Fintech, brokerage, trading, DIFC or ADGM experience, Arabic ability, or regulator relationships are advantageous
