Job Title: Backend Engineer –

Job Description: As a Backend Engineer specialising in wallets at Tether, you will design and build secure, scalable backend systems for digital wallets, focusing on private key management, transaction processing, and security infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services for digital wallets, including key management, transaction signing, and balance tracking.
• Implement robust security controls, encryption, and monitoring to protect wallet assets.
• Optimise system performance, reliability, and scalability to support high-volume wallet operations.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and security teams to deliver wallet features.

Qualifications Needed:

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with 3+ years in wallet or blockchain infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Rust, or Python, and experience with microservices and cloud platforms.
• Deep understanding of wallet architecture, private key management, and blockchain transactions.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; fluent in English.
