Job Title: Assistant Manager – Operational Risk

Job Description: As an Assistant Manager for Operational Risk at one of the UAE’s most innovative banks, you will assist the Senior Operational Risk portfolio leads and business and functions FLOD with the escalation and recording of Operational Risk events — applying operational risk expertise to support a bank that has been a driving force behind UAE economic growth for over 50 years.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Senior Operational Risk portfolio leads and business FLOD with escalation and recording of Operational Risk events
• Conduct operational risk assessments across banking business units and operational functions
• Support the implementation and maintenance of the operational risk management framework
• Challenge first-line operational risk controls and support risk governance across business functions
• Coordinate with Business, Compliance, Technology, and Risk teams on operational risk monitoring
• Produce operational risk reporting and management information for senior risk leadership and governance
• Monitor UAE banking regulatory developments affecting operational risk management standards
• Support external regulatory examination with operational risk evidence and management documentation

Qualifications Needed:

• Proven Operational Risk experience within a UAE banking institution at Assistant Manager or senior analyst level
• Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, FLOD challenge, and risk event escalation processes
• Calm under pressure with proven resilience and ability to manage competing priorities effectively
• Excellent analytical and written communication for operational risk reporting and governance
• Relevant risk qualification (FRM, PRM, or equivalent) preferred
• UAE banking operational risk experience strongly preferred
