Job Title: Head of Compliance

Job Description: As Head of Compliance for a VARA-licensed fintech and digital assets company, you will be responsible for leading the compliance function end-to-end — designing and implementing AML/CFT, regulatory compliance, and financial crime frameworks for a regulated virtual asset service provider in Dubai. You will serve as the senior compliance leader and primary regulatory contact for a growing digital asset company operating under VARA licensing.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the compliance function end-to-end for a VARA-licensed fintech and digital assets company
• Design and implement AML/CFT, regulatory compliance, and financial crime frameworks for VARA-regulated virtual asset operations
• Act as the primary regulatory contact with VARA and applicable UAE financial regulators
• Oversee KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and STR/SAR filing processes
• Manage compliance monitoring, testing, and audit preparation across all programme areas
• Provide strategic compliance advisory to Board and senior leadership on regulatory risk and programme development
• Build and develop the compliance team — hiring, mentoring, and driving compliance excellence
• Monitor VARA regulations and global digital asset regulatory developments affecting the compliance programme

Qualifications Needed:

• Proven Head of Compliance or senior compliance leadership experience in a VARA-regulated or digital asset environment
• Deep knowledge of VARA regulations and UAE virtual asset compliance requirements
• Strong AML/CFT programme management, regulatory engagement, and compliance team leadership
• Experience managing compliance for a VARA-licensed virtual asset service provider preferred
• CAMS or equivalent AML qualification required
• Excellent leadership and Board-level compliance advisory skills
