Job Title: Senior Quantitative Engineer

Job Description: The Quantitative Researcher (UAE) will conduct research on financial markets, develop and test quantitative trading signals, and contribute to Vatic’s systematic trading infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quantitative research on financial markets — identifying statistical patterns, market inefficiencies, and tradeable signals
• Develop, test, and implement quantitative trading strategies across multiple asset classes
• Build and optimize signal generation, backtesting, and portfolio construction frameworks
• Work with large-scale financial datasets — tick data, order book data, alternative data, and other financial time series
• Collaborate with the engineering team on production deployment of research models
• Continuously improve strategy performance through rigorous research and iteration
• Stay current on academic and industry research in quantitative finance and machine learning

Qualifications Needed:

• Strong quantitative background — degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or Financial Engineering
• Proven research experience in quantitative trading, financial modelling, or applied machine learning in financial markets
• Strong programming skills in Python or C++ for quantitative research and strategy development
• Experience with large-scale financial datasets and data analysis
• Understanding of market microstructure, trading mechanics, and financial markets
• Track record of developing systematic trading signals or quantitative strategies
