Job Title: Head of Risk Management – Digital Assets

Job Description: The Head of Risk Management Digital Assets will design, build, and own the comprehensive risk management framework for Capital Vault — covering market, credit, liquidity, operational, and technology risks specific to digital asset operations in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and continuously improve Capital Vault’s comprehensive risk management framework covering all risk categories relevant to digital asset operations
• Establish market risk controls for crypto asset price exposure, volatility management, and position limits
• Build credit risk frameworks covering counterparty exposure from institutional client activity, custody relationships, and liquidity providers
• Own operational risk frameworks covering digital asset custody technology, key management, wallet infrastructure, and cyber risk
• Develop liquidity risk models accounting for crypto market liquidity dynamics and settlement flows
• Lead regulatory risk engagement for Capital Vault’s digital asset licences and oversight frameworks
• Produce risk reporting for senior management, the Board, and regulators across all risk categories
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Legal teams to embed risk governance into product development and operational processes

Qualifications Needed:

• Significant experience in risk management within digital asset firms, crypto exchanges, crypto custodians, or blockchain infrastructure companies
• Deep understanding of digital asset risk typologies including market, custody, operational, and technology risks specific to crypto
• Experience with regulated digital asset operations — VARA (UAE), DFSA, SCA, or equivalent regulatory frameworks strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of crypto market microstructure, liquidity dynamics, and volatility risk management
• Proven ability to build risk frameworks from scratch or substantially rebuild risk functions in fast-scaling environments
• Excellent regulatory relationship management and risk reporting skills
• Professional risk qualifications (FRM, CAIA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred
